Thank you to all participants
of the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry
From July 17 to 20, 2022, close to 800 people from all continents participated, in Quebec City or in virtual mode, in the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry. This scientific congress not only featured researchers, but also farmers, First Nations representatives and young researchers. Themes as diverse as the contribution of agroforestry to development, society, biodiversity, soil health and the fight against climate change, for example, were addressed. Agroforestry is an essential component of the necessary ecological, energy, social and economic transition. This far-reaching transition can and must be achieved through participatory dialogue that builds bridges between research, policy making and field application.
Thank you for participating in this event where people from all walks of life, including farmers and young researchers, shared their concerns and needs, as well as their knowledge, expertise, experiences and innovations with the delegates. We now look forward to seeing you in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2025, for the 6th World Congress on Agroforestry!
In a spirit of friendship and solidarity, we wish to pay tribute to the First Nations of the territory on which the congress was held, honoring our relationship with each other.
