Andrée Levesque Sioui

Born in Quebec City, Andrée Levesque Sioui is a singer and poet. She is the lead performer on three albums including, Yahndawa' (2011) (Best Album Direction at the Native American Music Awards). She is a member of the Huron-Wendat Nation, where she has been teaching the Wendat language since 2010. In March 2021, she published Chant(s), her first collection of poetry with Hannenorak Editions, which was a finalist for the Indegenous Voices Awards and " One City One Book " in 2022. She publishes in the collectives Confluence and Comme une rivière en dérouine (2019), and in "Nous sommes poésie" (2022, XYZ).
